“Travel” comes from Old English TRAVAILEN, “to make a journey”, originally “toil, labor”, from Old French TRAVAIL, “trouble, painful effort”, from Latin TRIPALIARE, “to torture”. Its meaning comes from times when traveling was really unpleasant and even dangerous.

“Trip” is from Old French TRIPPER, “strike with the feet”, of Germanic origin, from where it passed to “step lightly”. This sense evolved to “a short voyage” too.

“Dream” is from Old Norse DRAUMR, from Old German DRAUGMAS, “phantom, illusion, deceit”.

“Pitaco” we were not able to find in any of several diccionaries. We suggest you to go back to your source and check the spelling.
